We at Leatherwood Baptist Church believe that worshipping the Lord is a vital part of our Sunday morning service and all should want to worship. Each Sunday is an opportunity to worship corporately and celebrate what the Lord has done. Worship is also an opportunity for those that do not know the Lord as their personal Savior or those that do not have a place to worship to join in and learn about the grace and mercy offered freely by our Heavenly Father. We believe that worship should be modeled by the Word of God and that simply means “in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:23-24)

Our Worship Ministry strives to blend the contemporary worship music with the traditional and powerful hymns. It is an inviting atmosphere for all ages and we look forward to seeing you on Sunday!

Adult Choir
Kellilyn Sechrest - Director

The choir is the first place to go to get involved in the worship ministry at LBC. Our choir practices each week on Sunday afternoons from 4:30-5:45 in the Worship Center! We view the choir, praise band and praise team as our “worship leaders” and being a part of our worship ministry is an opportunity to share the Good News through song. The worship portion of the service prepares hearts for listening to the Word of God. Come join us and be a part of an exciting and growing group of worship leaders!

Praise Team

The praise team is made up of vocalists from our Adult Choir. They are excited about Jesus and sharing His name through song.

Praise Band

The praise band consists of instrumentalists that love to worship the Lord through playing an instrument. These players provide music for each service and for special events. Because of the skill required, an invitation is required to participate in the LBC praise band.

The Praise Team and Praise Band spend extra time practicing for each service. We are blessed at Leatherwood to have such dedicated servants of the Lord to enhance our Worship Ministry.

Drama Ministry

Throughout the year, there are opportunities to heighten Brother Mike’s message by adding a real-life drama or utilizing our talented interpretive worship dancers.
